My wife Sarah is amazing in many ways. For her birthday in January, I tried to articulate this by giving her the gift of 366 reasons I love her — in the form of small snippets of pieces of paper in a jar — each with a reason I love her written down. It was easy to write 366 things I love about her.

She’s an amazing human being, and I’m lucky to have her in my life. She pushes me to another level, and helps me be my best self.

But what’s even more astonishing about Sarah is the type of Mom she has become. I am amazed at how she’s able to handle it all, day in and day out.

I am incredibly grateful and thankful to have Sarah as a mother to Greyson and to Parker.

Here are the things I’m thankful for, in no particular order:

Thank you for making sure Greyson brushes his teeth every night.

Thank you for taking a daily photo of Greyson every day of his young life. It’s fun to look back and see how much he’s grown up.

Thank you for being so laid-back about travel schedules, bedtimes, and Greyson and Parker sleeping in our bed.

Thank you for showing Greyson such great adventures in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Germany and more!

Thank you for dressing our little guy in such adorable and cute outfits. I’m not a fashion guy by any stretch, but I do appreciate it.

Thank you for taking Greyson in the snow.

Thank you for spending so much energy and time on Greyson’s birthday parties — even if they do seem to get rained or snowed out each year 🙁

Thank you for the Facetime with Greyson and you when I’m on the road. It means a lot to always see my kid smile.

Thank you for giving Greyson that great smile and infectious laugh!

Thank you for all the nights spending time getting Greyson to bed.

Thank you for making sure that Greyson has a relationship with his extended family.

Thank you for taking Greyson to Spruce Confections and letting him run around.

Thank you for taking Greyson on walks and hikes.

Thank you for making sure Greyson always has a truck, a train, or the latest Lightning McQueen!

Thank you for helping me try to mold Greyson into a Mathlete.

Thank you for taking Greyson shopping with you.

Thank you for all the research and work you put into Greyson’s meals every night (even if sometimes he seems to have no interest in eating anything at all!)

Thank you for laughing when Greyson drinks from Parker’s water bowl.

Thank you for laughing when Greyson eats from Parker’s dog bowl.

Thank you for making sure that Greyson has plenty of playtime with his friends around Boulder.

Thank you for making sure Greyson always looks handsome for his lady friends.

Thank you for driving around randomly when Greyson is in the back seat, sleeping, and it’s too early for him to wake up.

Thank you for the endless games of Peek-A-Boo and “Where’s Greyson?”

Thank you for the way you are always able to calm Greyson down, no matter how fussy he gets.

Thank you for the way you tirelessly think of activities and crafts for Greyson.

Thank you for all the bedtime stories.

Thank you for your patience with me when I’m traveling, or working too many hours in a week.

Thank you for making sure Greyson spends time with his cousins Maya and Ty.

Thank you for the “I still live with my parents” shirt — it’s priceless.

Thank you for taking Greyson to see Monster Trucks.

And finally, thank you for all the clever and witty image captions you post every day. They make me laugh, and they remind me of how lucky Greyson and I are to have you in our life.

Thank you Sarah for being such a great Mom.

So, if you’re reading this, it’s Sunday morning, and you need to get ready for the day — YOUR day — Mother’s Day.

You have a 9AM appointment at the St. Julien Spa. The spa opens at 8AM. After that, we’ve got breakfast plans at 11:30 AM that I can meet you at. Then, as is our tradition, we’ll go watch the movie Mother’s Day on Mother’s Day 🙂

I love you. Happy Mother’s Day!!
